This type of pultruded profile is widely used in Structural Reinforcement due to its exceptional performance on very narrow sections.

As with laminates, standard diameters of 6 – 8 – 10 – 12 mm with an elastic modulus of 150 GPa are available in stock. Upon request, customized productions with specific diameters and elastic modulus tailored to customer specifications are also available.

Technical characteristics of carbon rods:

  • Very high tensile and bending strength
  • High elastic modulus (from 140 GPa to 280 GPa)
  • Exceptional lightness to rigidity ratio
  • Resistenza a compressione (> 600 N/mmq)
  • Very high adhesion
  • Dimensional stability
  • Resistance to chemical corrosion
  • Resistance to saline environment
  • Low noise and vibration dampening
  • Radiotransparency
  • High electrical conductivity
  • Standard lengths 3 – 6 m, or custom cut to size
  • Dedicated lengths >= 12 m.
For the reinforcement of beams, walls, facades, or columns, it fits optimally into natural grooves (joints) or grooves created by milling. Maximum adhesion with adhesives or mortars is achieved using rods with enhanced adhesion surfaces, although there are no particular restrictions when using rods with smooth surfaces.
