The very high tensile strength combined with lightness and radiolucency make the carbon pultruded profiles, especially with round section, widely used in orthopedics as a support for braces and immobilizers. Carbon rods are widely used in the heads of the olive harvesters, in the reinforcement of wooden artefacts (door and window frames), in the design in boating, in leisure and sport.
